Fall Anime reviews Part 2!

Its time for the KAWAII, girly things that I’ve seen!

The cutest thing in a hat and sundress! x3

The cutest thing in a hat and sundress! x3

I have to say that Kobato is the anime on this WHOOLE list that I have beeen anticipating for a looong looong time….even before they stated they’d make it an anime (which would happen eventually lol ). CLAMP is just…AMAZING. I usually read and buy the manga because I like to see the art work that they have drawn, instead of an animator (exception of Cardcaptor Sakura) . But this time I gave it a shot and I absolutely loved it, and here’s why.

Kobato is about…well Kobato the main girl who has to fill a jar up with the shattered heart pieces of people. It’s quite the concept! ^0^The first episode just has her show her blue dog buddy, Mr. Ioryogi, that she’s capable to live on earth and fufill the task at hand. Her prize is a jar to hold all the shattered pieces inside. I got a jar of heart shards! xD ….ah nobody got that huh? Disney’s “Pirates of the Carrebean 2”? …O_O;

Kobato’s character, however, is what really gets you. She’s like the cutest, clumsiest thing you’ve ever wanted to hug. She does everything with the purest understanding (well she seems to lack basic earthly human knowledge, lol)  and Mr. Ioryogi is just an angry badass little dog who guides Kobato…in a harsh way, but I’m sure with every intention of her doing her best! Right Mr. Ioryogi? Right?? …………………..
SO! If you like cute pure chicks who are clumsy (kinda like Mikuru from TMoHS…without the boin) , angry mascots, and fantasy stories with some possible romance on the side…You shouldn’t watch this…LMAO I kid i kid!!! xDD

Kimi ni Todoke

THIS! THIS right HERE! Is an awesome anime! THis one I totally love…probably because I can relate to it somehow. lol

Since this is coming out late, I’ve already watched 3 episodes of it and I CRAVE more! Sometimes I feel like the just reading the manga but then I know I won’t watch the anime.

In a nutshell, This is about a kind girl named Kuronma Sawako and she’s not good at making friends. WHY? because she looks like Sadako from the ring (and is nicknamed so) which leads her fellow classmates to thing you will be cursed if you so much as sit in her chair. Of course she’s normal and quite dense at the fact that people think of her like that. It pretty sad because shes trying her hardest to get people to like her. Along comes the most popular guy in her class, Kazehaya Shouta, who’s friendly and refreshing and all full of bishie sweetness…and well…HE PAYS ATTENTION TO HER! And not only that! But he tries and tries to get their class mates to accept her and show that she’s not scary, which leads two girls to befriend her! He’s beginning to take a fancy to her too. lol

The begining and ending are BEAUTIFUL. The begining song makes me want to cry. I love Sawako…I wish she was my friend! ^-^

As you may have guessed, this is full of shojo goodness…but that doesn’t mean its just for girls. 😉

Yumeiro Patissiere

It's like friggin Gakuen Alice...WITH CAKE! @_@

Its sad that I cannot pronounce this anime’s title. ;_;

OMG…this anime makes you SOOOO hungry. =.=;;
I’ve got a BIIG sweet tooth…and all these people do is BAKE and stuff. >_>;

Anyhoo, so we got the main girl, Ichigo, and in episode 1 we she is a clumsy little thing who is overshadowed by her little sister. At her little sisters piano recital, Ichigo finds a place stuffed with sweets, and starts talking to this guy Henry. Ichigo realizes that the reason she loves sweets so much is because her grandma used to make them all the time and no matter what, it would make Ichigo happy. Turns out that her grandma was big at St. Marie’s Patissiere Academy and this Henry dude knew her before she passed away. Henry let’s Ichigo try his new dessert, and finds that she has an incredible sence of taste and tells her she should attend St. Maries. It’s Ichigo’s dream to be a patissiere…and thus she sets off on her journey for her dream.

Well, it doesn’t SOUND too intresting, but! It gets better! ^-^; If you like Gakuen Alice and SHugo Chara and all things cute and yummy, with a dash of little bishonen boys and young romance…I don’t know why the hell you haven’t watched this lol.

WOOOOOOOOOOO~! OK sooooooo…I wrote this AFTER watching 3 episodes of each! ^^ ARGGG…these are all such goood animes ;_;. Or maybe I’m just too accepting of everything …lol. >w<

Fairy Tail review coming soon!

Unexpected Reviews! Yay! my brain hurts! @w@

Surprise! OMG NO WAI! MOR REVIEWS? Don’t you have a life Dezi-chan? Apparently not…lol. Okies, it seems as though I’ve gotten my self into troubles with the following anime:

Nyan Koi

A wacky anime where the main charater can understand cats? YES PLZ!   Nya Koi first caught my eye because of the style of  the anime. Don’t ask me why, but I just really liked the style of the characters when I saw them on the chart. Upon closer inspection, I noticed adorable kitties in the picture and the summary was interesting, so I decided to give it a shot. I didn’t expect me to go  totally crazy over this anime, but I have. I’ve fallen head over heals after one episode lol.

Whats basically goin’ on here is the main guy, Junpei Kosaka, is terribly allergic to cats and isn’t to fond of them either…ok so he hates cats, but I’d hate some thing too if it made me sneeze constantly.  His mom and sister totally disregard that fact and keep a big fat cat in the house as a pet (poor dude lol) which he has woken up to and just noticed this morning that he can understand cats. Apparently yesterday he knocked down the head from a cat god statue thing and now he’s got a curse on him that if he doesn’t help out 100 cats, he himself will turn into a cat and eventually suffocate from allergies from his own fur (what a sucky way to go lol).  As for romance,  he’s in love with a chick named Mizuno, who loves cats…a lot lol (you’ll see why later in the episode).

The opening and ending are just ADORABLEEE~! Very catchy lol. This anime had me laughing out loud in a bunch parts, so be sure to watch it where you can laugh out loud freely for maximum experience, lol. The cats in here are adorable and funny as hell (it’s even funnier if your a cat owner lol) especially the little white one, who has the cutest look on his face…like some sort of confused blank stare, lol. Idk I thought they were cute! :3 There are many zany things going on here and if your a fan of comedy/ romance type stuff, I know you won’t be disappointed! And! For only 12 episodes, this one seems to be a good anime to keep up with. I look forward to more episodes! x3
The Sacred Blacksmith

Huh, I didn't know they made form fitting boob armor...

Huh, I didn't know they made form fitting boob armor...

Ok, I seriously didn’t think I watched this. It had no appeal or eye catching-ness when I saw it on the chart. Honestly. But I saw the the opening from random clicking on youtube, and was speechless. The opening…was sooo aweosme and interesting, so I said “What the heck…” and watched the episode. The episode was also awesome and interesting and again I said, “What the heck…!” And here I am, writing about it and etching it forever on  my myanimelist.com account.

It starts out by showing a battle going on which will happen later on in the episode, kinda like a little taste of the action to reel you in later.  Then we meet the heroine, Cecily Cambell (that chick in the middle with the red hair) who is a noob knight following her fathers footsteps… who looks like she knows what she’s doing, but really she doesn’t. At first she seems kinda annoying with all her talk and then failing but she’s in good intentions. I like her. ^-^ Then we meet this dude Luke who keeps popping in and saving her. He’s pretty badass (…and attractive lol but something tells me Cecily’s gunna like him, so I’m not gunna get attached…if thats the case then i iz happehs cuz i like her lol) and he’s got a katana which I guess in their region is uncommon. His little sister apperently, Lisa is just so adorable I want to glomp her! She’s a sweet polite little girl with a hidden power that I’m not gunna tell you lol. Her brother aids in with this power *hint hint* You’ll just have to watch if you wanna know! 😉

Anyways, I think what really sold me here beside the character designs and personalites, are the fighting scenes. They were really awesome, and the smooth animation reminded me of Soul Eater’s fighting scenes…which I miss dearly lol. Luke does this side step thing and even though it was brief, the animation was sooo precice I had to rewind that to watch again. Hoonestly, I loved the fighting scenes. The demon one was the best! x3

So, if fighting/ rich plot/ lots of swords  stories are up your ally, try this. I think you’ll like it. Of course its too early in the game to determine how this will end. It can either go really really good or end up really really bad with confusion, but I think it’ll make it! 🙂

P.S! The ending…ADORABLE! So cute and sweet it gave me a toothache lol. And for anyone a fan of Yui from K-ON out there, I think you’ll like the ending…and Lisa lol.

To Aru Kagaku No Railgun

The X-menz got nuffin on us!

The X-menz got nuffin on us!

I am really shocked (no pun intended) on how I actually liked this lol. This was recommended to my good friend Avery (click link for his blog) who ranted how much he loved it. So I said “Ok I’ll give it a shot”. Sure enough as I was watching the episode…I found my self enjoying it lol.

It gave me a feel of X-men for some reason, except they aren’t mutants, just experiments  who reside in a city which basically is 20 to 30 years more advanced in technology than the outside world (which is NEAAT) .  There was a lot of…um…yuri things, and being an avid yaoi person and being straight (nothing against gay ppl, i got lots of them 4 friends) normally i would twitch at such things but after all the anime I’ve seen, I think I’m just immune to fanservice. It was getting annoying on how the chick with the pigtails was all over the main girl (their names slip my mind >.<;) like every 5 minutes.  But aside from this the fight scenes were pretty damn good and the characters are easy to follow with. You feel as though your right there with them, buying crepes, lol.  Overall, railgun was pretty good. I always say “Give an anime 5 episodes and then you can tell if its a keeper”. This applies with men too…LMAO just kidding. xDD

Next time on Dezi-chan’s blog! K-Kawaiii time! K is for Kobato, Kimi No Todoke and KAWAIII! Oh and Yumerio Patissiere!! xD

Fall 2009 Anime Reviews Part 1!

O.K! After a weekend of waiting for subs, waiting for videos to load, and waiting to type this (waiting isn’t FUUN), I am pleased to present my views and opinions of the animes I’ve started for the fall line up! ZOMG so excited! Okies lets see!

Ur lettarz....I haz themz!

Tegami Bachi
The  overall monochrome feeling of the anime sent chills down my spine. In a good way. Basically, its about this boy named Lag Seeing who is picked up by a guy named Gauche who is a Letter Bee. Think as Letter Bees like…extreme postal men lol. I mean seriously! These guys fight off these big ass bugs with fragments of their hearts for Pete’s sake! Anywhoo, So Lag is a package and its Gauche’s duty to get him to his destination.
The overall setting of the anime is like a world in eternal night…where he capital, Akatsuki,  is a giant artificial sun type thing….at least from the information I’ve gathered so far lol. Apparently, Lag’s mother was taken away and sent to Akatsuki for a reason nobody knows yet. Gauche also has his own background going on and both backgrounds make excellent stages for character development.

I don’t want to spoil too much of the episode! xD

The animation was very smooth and pleasing to the eye. I fell in love with the art style here. The shadowing, the cool colors used, everything. It’s like a diamond. It’s clean, dazzling, and precise. Beautiful.

If you like mysterious, steampunk-ish, shonen like anime this is highly recommended to give a shot. There’s humor here too, it’s not all sad lol. Just from one episode (i’ve read some manga on it too…teehee…thats’s not cheating! >.<) i think it’s AWESOME! I can’t wait for more! :3

Inuyasha: The Final Act

Hey guise...narakus behind yaz! Your facing the wrong wai!! D:

Hey guise...Naraku's behind yaz! Your facing the wrong wai!! D:

This little review here is ment for people who have obviously seen Inuyasha… because if you haven’t and just think its ok to jump into The final Act…. DON’T! Oh my gawd I was so confused it wasn’t FUNNY! And I used to LOOOVE Inuyasha! It was one of the first animes I got really into back when I was only 15! It’s likie one of your old best friends comes back and you know its them…but so much has changed! It’s been a couple of years since I’ve last seen it so I was expecting a little flash back or something to remind me of what was going on. BOY WAS I WRONG! ;_;

I remembered some things from my avid fangirl-ness of the series, like the characters and the main plot of killing Naraku. The characters are impossible to forget (especially Sesshomaru…eheheeee *w*) as well as their relationships with each other and main icidents they’ve gone through. I was pretty happy with the episode except for the following WTH moments:

  • WTH was Kikyo doing still alive? I mean…I must have missed a season or two I guess because I remember her dying but in this episode she was running around killing things. What ever reason she’s there…idk I’ll look for it online. lol
  • WTH was with Kagura? Again, I must have missed something or not remebered something because shes apperently not on Naraku’s side no mores.
  • WTH is with their Japanese voices!? I’m sorry but Iwas raised and fed on their english dubs. I personally DO NOT like Inuyasha’s voice in Japanese. He sounds whiny and annoying. But then maybe I’m being to harsh lol. Perhaps I’ll get used to it. :/

Okies I’m done complaining. :3 I’ll give it some more time and give myself some time as too research what I missed and when I missed it lol. I cannot let my 15 year old self with the recorded VHS tapes of Inuyasha down! This is for you little Dezi-chan!! >.<

Miracle train

Theyz on ur trainz...stealin' ur heartz!

Theyz on ur trainz...stealin' ur heartz!

…..I JUUUUST finished watching the first episode of this.
…….I  LOVED IT! xDDD  I seriously don’t know where to begin with this….I’ll start with a simple review of the episode!  😀

Basically the episode begins with the Mr. Announcer Narrator man saying stuff that there’s a legendary train that only appears before troubled women( I WUNNA GO OOON! lol). The train has a giant bishie blob of gorgeous bishie personified train stations. Yes you read that right. The bishonen on this train are the personified train stations on the Oedo Line in Japan. ….such an original concept. It’s one of those ” It just might be crazy enough to work!” concepts lol. But I love it. ITS GENIUS! xD
In any case, so your a trouble female and you think your going…what, shopping or whatever and you step on this train and NOBODY else is there but these guys. It sounds suspicious, no? lol
Well the girl in this episode with the little doggie in her bag and is (obviously) troubled. She loses her dog and needs to find him pronto! She seems to care so much for it. Why? Why else is she troubled? Will she tell the train men so they can help her with her problems? WILL THEY FIND TEH DOGGIE?  I don’t want to get too into it, because then I’ll ruin it! x3
It seems like there is absolutely no actual plot here, at least for now. Just short stories about all these chicks and and their problems and the super train men come to save the day with their dashing good looks and the ability to listen to all your problems and be compassionate in helping you. Sounds too good to be true huh? Sounds like these men are perfect? Well, the catch is…THEY ARE TRAIN STATIONS. Its not healthy to fall in love with buildings (says the girl who is attracted to anime menz).  They have the greatest personalities though! Characters receive A+! ^.^d
I think what helped me a lot with understanding the episode cultural-wise, was my trip to Japan and all the time I spent in train stations and on trains. It was so much that I knew how to buy my own ticket. SO! If you have any knowledge on Japanese train stations, it might come in handy lol.

Ok well I’m gunna stop right here because I’m writting a lot about this anime and its not fair to my other reviews…makes them look cheap. lol  But overall this is a good balanced start to the fall 2009 season. Next I’ll write about my unexpected reviews, which are A Certain Scientific Railgun, which was recommended to me and Nyan Koi. Untill next time! (>^.^)>~

Fall Anime 2009 Line Up Intrests

Welp, its that time of year! Fall! My favorite! The air gets crisper, the leaves turn into beautiful shades of red, orange and yellow….AND A BATCH OF BRAND NEW ANIME IS READY FOR WATCHING!

*sniff* It’s beautiful, isn’t it? :3

Well, it looks like I’ve decided to go and get excited over a good handful of the shows here that interested me. It is unrealistic that I will actually finish all these shows, but its worth a shot anyways.  Hopefully I’ll be able to blog about all of these after watching them, with my own ideas on the episode and the show’s overall progression. Enough with my blabbery nonsence; here are the winners for my viewing:

Letter Bee
Tegami Bachi

I had planned on reading Tegami Bachi for some time now but kept on forgetting to finish the first chapter (it’s not that it was boring, I just always had something to do at the time lol) so when I saw that it was going to be animated this fall, I nearly fell out of my seat. It much easier for me to focus on shonen anime than shonen manga (for some odd reason lol…it’s the opposite with shojo)!  So, I look forward to watching this as much as I looked forward to reading it! 😛

Fairy Tail

Another story of, “I wanted to read this but it’s more convenient for my attention span to watch it”.  I love the drawing style, and I personally don’t see it as a rip off of One Piece like others do. We shall see what happens!

With me being a total fangirl of CLAMP, collecting their manga and whatnot, of course I had read Kobato before and loved it…loved it like a fat kid loves cake…mmmm caaake. *ahem* So when I  found out about this I literally screamed with joy! This is one that I am NOT going to quit! It is CLAMP, and therefore it is AWESOME~!

Miracle Train

O.k….So all all know about this anime so far is it has to do with trains and a train station and blah bla bishies blah bla-*SCREEEECH* WAAIIIIT!!!!  BISHIES!? *strares at picture* Oh…oh good heavens…I MUST WATCH THIS!!! The mens look too prettys! T^T…er ahem..I’m sure it has a reat storyline too…yes yes stoooryliiine….

Inuyasha-Final Act

Inuyasha is one of the animes that really got me started into the whole “otaku” thing. It was that, Fruits Basket, and Fullmetal Alchemist…. so seeing a new and final season of Inuyasha feels almost nostalgic. My 15 year old self is leaping with joy!

Nyan-Koi im going to give a shot…cuz it haz kittehs. lol Just one ep though and we’ll see where it goes from there!

This concludes my Fall Anime line up intrests! Next to come for the Fall Anime is the reviews on their first episodes and a post on all of the fall 2009 anime openings (because I’m an opening fanatic lol)!

Who am I?

Hi thar! I’m Dezi-chan, your average anime/ manga otaku fangirl with a love for all things Japanese and a weakness for bishonen! Welcome to my blog! From now on, I’ll be updating anything related to anime, manga, and Japanese culture from my personal fangirlish hyper opinion! Hope you all enjoy! ^-^
